wedding wednesday: a lao wedding

This past weekend we (the whole gang/fam) attended a lao wedding. (sorry for the dark photos, the lighting was very low in this wedding) The couple opted for a traditional wedding with lao dancing, attire, and food. It was a nice wedding held in Dragon Court Restaurant. The bride was beautiful and had three dress changes. All three beautiful wedding dresses. Check out the video- ya might even catch my sillyness on the dance floor >_<

while he was away...

The fiancee left me for a whole week! This is where he was for the past week. He was in Denver, CO for a business trip so not vacay or play time. There were meetings, greetings and business dinners in his schedule so we spent time texting and talking over the phone. He had a good time. He met some nice co-workers, sightseeing, and good eating! He was in a different time zone, when I was getting ready for bed he was getting ready for dinner. I'm glad to be back with him. It's been tough without him. I'm so happy he's back and I don't want him to ever leave again!

manimonday: coral/gray colors

I was inspired by pinterest (as always) to do this design. This was not an easy, fast design. First, paint the nail with the first color. I used the coral Icing polish. I used scotch tape and cut it to tape one side of the nail and paint the other gray. I had issues with the tape not staying on my nail and when taking it off having to be really careful. I messed up my nail taking the tape up and taking the polish right off with it. This design does take patience, but it looks really pretty and funky! What are you wearing on your nails right now?

threads: pink & gold

Top: Thrift Pants: Marshalls Bag: DC Shoes: Rack Room Watch: Charming Charlies Bangles/Ring: Gift My cousin Ross graduated from college and had a party this past weekend. I wore this outfit to the party. I'm glad I wore pants, mosquitoes crashed the BBQ and basketball game that night. This top was really light and kept me cool from the hot temps we had here. The night was great and filled with good food and fam/friends! Happy Wednesday friends!

makeup monday: beauty haul

In this haul: maybelline dream bouncy blush in rose petal $6 maybelline great lash mascara $6  mary kay mineral powder foundation - gift Readers, this is my first ever haul! I never have bought this much in one time. Now I can actually do a haul. I'm not sure how those other girls do it! Ha! I admire their hauls though. I envy them. Why now? Well, I left my beauty bag at home one day and had to buy makeup to get me thru the day.  So I tried great lash mascara and dream bouncy blush. First the mascara. It was okay. I know its a classic, but i'm not crazy about it. The brush and formula made my lashes clump together. Not good. It did nothing for me. However, the price on this mascara is awesome. Second the blush. I have been wanting to try this,  I've been told to try it (sorry for the long wait) and now I have it! I like it. It blends well. It is a pretty color (rose petal). Not sure I would repurchase at the moment. Maybe, I need more play time w

wedding wednesday: envisioning your wedding

Since we're a year away from the wedding we do not have much to plan. One fun thing to do right now is envisioning the wedding day. The part I like!! As a kid I dreamt of this day, but not so much the details ha! So many thoughts of decor and details running through my mind right now. I have to create a list to start finding all of these fun stuff i'm thinking of. I'm trying not to loose it all. Paris would be a dream for me. It's old architecture, breath taking views, & the Eiffel tower lit with lights. Since it would be difficult to bring all of the family and friends to Paris, we will use it as our inspiration. Still have a lot of time and ideas. The fiancee and I chose red and white for our colors. This was a difficult part. There are gazillions of colors to choose from. I jumped to many different color schemes! Green, blue, pink, yellow etc. No joke. Red/White makes it feel romantic and classic! With red/white roses and candles! Lots of flower

mani monday: rose petal & shimmer

I used Loreal rose petal and wet n wild diamond in the rough in this week's mani. I love the rose petal with the accent shimmer. Its classy and fun! This Loreal is such a pretty light pink color. It can be worn as an everday or special occasion polish. I did not like the brush or the formula of this polish. It was streaky and very difficult to work with. I had to apply so many coats, three or more at least. It chips very easily. I will not be repurchasing or recommend this polish.
