outfit of the day: american i am

what i wore: express button up, francesca's collection many a day skirt , payless nude peep toe heels, and belk's pearl necklace/earrings.   I wore this look to the office and to lunch with some friends. I had a half day at the office and wanted something office friendly, but comfortable/casual to go out to lunch with some friends. I'd say this worked out perfectly.      american i am by lisaanatha featuring tahitian pearl earrings Forever 21 forever21.com Abercrombie Fitch scalloped skirt abercrombie.com G by Guess flat pumps macys.com Nadri knot jewelry lordandtaylor.com Tahitian pearl earrings endless.com

outfit of the day: bold blues

what i wore: express (gift) blouse, thrifted skirt, payless heels, belk's pearl necklace and earrings   This look makes me feel lady like and business savy. I wore this look to the office. Who says your work wardrobe has to be dull? This outfit is office appropriate, but fun with the bold blue skirt. Get away from those gray and black colors. At the corporate office there are rules to your attire: the length of your skirt needs to be at your knee, no sandals, no tank tops or strapless, no leggings, no jeans/jeggings, no house shoes/tennis shoes/stilettos. With many more to list, I won't take up your day. You have got the idea i'm sure. =)   I just wanted to share this with any ladies who adore Lilly Pulitzer, they are having a sale and most items are 80% off! Great deal! www.lillypulitzer.com

If you are a lighter skin tone (like Emma Stone or Rachel McAdams) I would go with apricot to coral pink colors for a natural look. Hope you have a magnificent week!

horse protection society of north carolina

Souwan and I trying to play this game. The object is to swing the ring and get it to land on the hook. After about an hour I finally did it! And I was last to get it too. Last week we spent a night out with some friends at Kilted buffalo, a bar near our home. We were there to help support our friends from the Horse Protection Society of North Carolina. This society helps horses in bad health/shape and care them back to good health. Proceeds from the bar would go towards helping these horses and society. I got to meet some cool people who love and care for those horses. Such a great cause with great people and I was so glad to learn and help.

makeup monday: back to school

back to school makeup by lisaanatha featuring mark cosmetics An easy back to school look that is quick! 1. mark concealer is one of the best! apply (dab) it under your eyes, top of your lips, and on your chin. Also dab some on any red spots or blemishes. Blend it in downward motion. 2. Mark on the dot neutral palette. If you love urban decay's naked palette, but don't want to break the bank, mark's neutral palette is outstanding. (You are in school and with not so much funds) 3. E.L.F gel eyeliner is fantastic and of great quality for less. Most days I skip out if i am in a hurry. 4. Loreal Volumious false fiber mascara makes your eyelashes super long. 5. Maybelline pure blush mineral in opal rose is my favorite for fall/winter. It gives you this "i've been outside in the cool weather and have rosy cheeks from the temp" look LOL. Of course it looks natural.  (sorry this is not in my photo above or my neutral look above.) 6.  Last an
