kiengkham's korner: weekly photos

I started to photograph my bump at 12 weeks. I lost a little track because honestly the morning sickness did not put me in the mood for pics. I am at 18 weeks now and I'll try to continue posting more pics of my bump. My morning sickness seems to have gone away. I am finally able to eat and enjoy food again. We have our 18 week check up this Friday and on Monday, we find out the gender of our baby! I am hoping for a healthy baby and cannot wait to see the baby. 15 weeks here. We have such great support from our family and friends. Our friend Diane and Jeff gave our baby such a cute gift! I can't wait to see the baby's first smile, or the first of everything! And I'm definitely going to be taking lots of photos. The picture frame is a perfect gift. Souwan took me on a date to a Mexican restaurant. It was a really great night! I love burritos! I told Souwan I wanted to go again for Burritos, like now. LOL. It has been such a beautiful weekend/week h...

kiengkham's korner: souwan's als ice bucket challenge

Souwan completed the ALS ice bucket challenge. The challenge is to promote awareness and encourage donation for the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) aka Lou Gehrig's. The disease causes a person to have trouble speaking, swallowing, and breathing. After you accept the challenge of dumping ice water on yourself, you then nominate some of your friends to do the same on a video post. You can watch Souwan's on his facebook post.      I was asked by my niece how I use coupons. So here is your answer!   1. Get the Sunday paper and get your inserts from Smart Source, P & G, Red Plum. Sometimes there will be 2 or 5 inserts!   2. I go online to research deals at the grocery store and match up my coupons. Couponmom.com is a great resource. She tells you the item for sale and the coupon to use to get savings. See the picture below.  Make sure to go under the state you are li...

outfit of the day: going overboard

what I wore: Caniche blouse and bracelet, Old Navy shorts, Shoe Show sandals, and gifted earrings and gold bracelet   A twist on a nautical look. I'm probably going overboard on the stripes, but it is definitely my favorite look for summer time! My husband took me out on a date. He took me for a downtown stroll in the evening. I love our downtown, historic and cute boutiques! We stopped by boutiques, antique shop, candy shop and an old bookstore. He even got me the top i'm wearing in today's outfit. After we enjoyed listening to a band, the ultimate eagles tribute band. A great date night spent with my husband!   date night photos: left to right (candy shop on main, literary book post, and Okey Dokey antique shop)
