pumpkin patch 2016

This year was our 2nd year taking Haylee to the pumpkin patch. Last year she was just 3 months old and now 1!!! She enjoyed the patch very much this year. She could not stay still! Such a busy little girl. She ran around the pumpkin patch, tried to eat the pumpkins, and tore the leaves on the vines. We got to ride the tractor and hay ride. She was very curious about where we were going. We dressed her up as a strawberry in a patch of pumpkins, because well why not?! LOL. Take a look at our visit to the pumpkin patch:

kiengkham's korner: halloween + home

Our Halloween was spent at our church this year. Souwan and I joined our church family for trunk or treat. If you've never been to trunk or treat, well you're missing out on family fun. We had games at each trunk and lots of treats. Every trunk had a theme, just to name a few: gone fishing, a coffin, and ours was Alice in Wonderland's queen of hearts/tea party. It was a fantastic night and we enjoyed being with all of the kids. Our grocery trip this week was great! We got more items for our holiday parties. The gravy mix & pumpkin filling are great for the holiday parties ( I love making cupcakes with the pumkin filling for Thanksgiving).  I am thrilled about getting new eye shadows. Some of these items we will be giving away to charity. I'm really happy we will be able to give some of these items to a good cause. Here is our total, we spent before = $102.54 and after coupons = $19.20!!! It's been a while since I update you...

friday favorites

Hi All, Hope you had a fun Halloween! I enjoyed giving out treats to all the kids. It was our first year in our first home giving treats out. We had about 30 kids and they were all so great! Although, I have so much candy left over. Guess more for us! It's the first of November so i'm doing a themed Friday favorite post. This year my husband and I handed out candy to 30 kids as Queen of Hearts and Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. I'm a huge Disney fan and loved that we could have a couple costume this year for Halloween. Here are my favorites this week: Favorite cookies: these pumpkin cookies are delish! (source pinterest)   Favorite scenery: I love seeing all of the foliage in the fall time here on the east coast. (source pinterest) Favorite holiday movie: Love at the Thanksgiving parade is one of my favorites to watch this month as Thanksgiving approaches. halloweenie party

A couple of years ago I went to a halloweenie roast and it was so much fun. We thought it would be tons of fun to have our own halloweenie party for our family and friends. If you have never experienced fall on the East Coast you have missed a beautiful scene. The leaves change colors and create an amazing scene. My friend Dina (Happy Birthday again!) came to visit us and was just in time for the halloweenie party. She helped us prep all of the fun treats.  We had hot dogs (weenies), boo mix, and so many more halloween treats. Thank you to all the lovely girls who helped out! Serena and I gathered fallen leaves for our pumpkin bags. We gathered a small group for a photo op. It was so awesome to see these costumes. They were all great! We decorated the entire house of spider webs, caution tape, pumpkins and orange lights. This was the best part of the night, smores on the fire pit. It was a chilly night and rain free. We were expec...
