"Time of Your Life"

(Picture from Mai) It's the time of year where all the high school seniors prepare for graduation and get ready to say goodbye to "high school."  This month three of my nieces (Nina, Jenny, and Mon) graduated.  Since I could not be there to celebrate with them in person, we will celebrate through the web. (Picture from Google) Incredible Hulk: 1/2 oz Hennessy 1/2 oz Hpnotiq Stir together the Hennessy and the Hypnotic to make a green incredible hulk color. Serve. Nina “Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” - Ralph Waldo Emerson Jenny “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt Mon “To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.” – Anatole France Congratulations Girls! I am proud of you gals!!! By: Souwan

the office

Top: Gift Skirt: Old Navy Purse: Chanel It rained a lot last week so my pictures were taken in our home office. Growing up I spent a lot of time in our home office because the only computer was in there. I would stay there all night chatting on AIM with "friends". At least that is what I told my parents. Shh! Now we each have laptops and spend less time in the office. It's still a nice quiet place in the house. I go in it sometimes to hang out and listen to music . Country music mostly. Ha! One of my favorite songs right now is Steel Magnolia's "Last night again". Click here to listen. Here are some other favorites of mine right now. (from left to right) 1. This mustard color jacket is on my wishlist. Anything in this color is attractive right now. 2. I wish I lived in a fairytale , then I could wear this ah-mazing dress! 3. On the weekends I would love to wear a cute fedora hat like this one. 4. Shoes and socks. Genius! 5. I strongly dislike ppl

Let's root root for the home team!

On Friday I attended the Intimidators' game. Souwan was working at the game for a bit. This gorgeous girl Serena was my date. Being there brought back some memories for me. My brother played baseball at a young age. I sat out at every game with my family and cheered him on. During this game Serena and I joined the crowd doing the YMCA to get spirits up. I loved chowing down on a ball park dog. So of course I had one for the game. Unfortunately the game resulted in a lost for them. Next time boys!! We stayed after for, one of my favorite parts, the fireworks. It's magical. Ha! I get excited just like a kid over fireworks. Other than that my weekend was full of {supervising} kitchen remodelling. Even supervising is hard work. Ha! I'll blog about that soon.

mondays with mark: freckle love

Here is a question for all of you. Do I have freckles? ....Yes I do. I'll assume you knew that. As a kid they were not noticeable. Then my teenage years the freckles decided to make an appearance. Some girls do not like their freckles, but I actually did. It was pleasantly different. How my makeup compliments my freckles. I apply tinted moisturizer in honey. It is less harsh than regular foundation. Instead of caking on makeup to hide it, enhance your freckles with tinted moisturizer. Also, it lets your face breathe while covering up any reddness. Get mark's tinted moisturizer here . Apply blush on the apples of your cheeks, some mascara on your eyes, eye liner and lipstick. You are all set to go out with your sexy freckles =0) . Thats right, SEXYYYY. Check out this beautiful girl with her freckles! image from thebeautydepartment.com

Do's & Dont's

Do's Rachel Bilson with a pop of orange. The color makes the neutral colors less boring. Miranda Kerr post baby. I'm so jealous! I adore the floral print. Rachel McAdams in Cannes. She did great on the red carpet for all of the events. This one stood out to me. It compliments her skin tone very well without flushing her out. Leighton Meester. My fave Gossip Girl! She usually does not do well on the carpet. Here she looked so chic. Proud moment Ha! Dont's Vanessa Hudgens in Cannes. Lime bright! Too bright. I do love her new haircut though! Ashley Olsen in a boyfriend suit? She walked out of her New York place with wet hair and this suit. Awful. Mischa Barton looks like Waldo character. No? Just give her the hat and you will see. Ha! Dianna Agron going for edge? I think she should stick with Quinn's clothes/style. It's just awkward.

"Take me out to the ball game"

What is the first thing that comes to mind when spring rolls around?  Mosquitoes?  Cookout?  Baseball!  Over the next few weeks, I have the opportunity of going to the Intimidators Stadium and watching them play.  The Kannapolis Intimidators are the Single-A farm club in the Chicago White Sox minor league chain.  The first thing I want to do at the game is go straight to the beer garden and get an ice cold beer.  I am not an avid beer drinker, so Bud Light does the job of quinching the thrist.  Bring on the hard liquor please! Play Ball!!! (picture from google.com) Blogger: Souwan

Funny story . A while back my family was searching for lake front property. There was this great piece of land and well, we didnt buy it because of restrictions on building. Present day there is this amazing house sitting on that lake front property. The boys and I wanted to check out the house/scenery. It looked as if no one had moved in yet. Wrong!! There was chatter and music coming from the patio. We immediatley rushed back into the car and drove off. Whew! That could have been hard to explain. Uh yea we...um ok bye. Ha!! My brother joked about having ever seen asian robbers . Would that be a first? Since I shared an akward/funny moment. Any of you up to making me laugh with your moments?? Well if not, here is my hot list: {from left to right} 1. I have soo many pencil ski

katana a japanese fusion restaurant

I have been wanting a good sushi place to enjoy since moving back home. In college my friends and I had so many lunches and dinners at Rusan's {a sushi place in Charlotte, NC}. The best sushi in Charlotte, NC!! Also it was very affordable for a broke college student. $1 sushi rolls! Can you beat that?! In my hometown they have opened a Japanese fusion place. The sushi bar is all that matters to me. This made me so happy. On Friday, Souwan and I tried it on opening weekend. The place was very packed with people. Maybe not a wise choice. After sitting at the sushi bar, we ordered Katana's chicken. Katana's chicken is like terriyaki chicken, but instead with Katana's sauce. They did have regular terriyaki too. We wanted to try something new. I thought the chicken had good flavor and it came out promptly. Souwan and I also ordered sushi. The sushi rolls we tried: mango, kiddie {just cream cheese}, California, & Philly. The menu for sushi was very basic and not ori
