georgia aquarium: ocean voyager

Our fourth stop in the Georgia Aquarium was Ocean Voyager. This part of the aquarium has a tunnel you can walk thru and above are a massive amount of ocean life. I think another cool moment for me. Also for the first time I saw a giant guitarfish.  These fishes are found in the Indian Ocean. The sharks were swimming with the many fishes and guitarfishes. They looked pretty scary. It was a first seeing a shark up close and sting rays. There were huge sting rays in this collection. I had no idea sting rays could grow so large. check out the other exhibits- no links-scroll over to the left side where all the blog titles are. below: guitarfish below: whale shark

georgia aquarium: georgia explorer

We visited the Georgia Aquarium while visiting Atlanta, Georgia. I'll break the pictures down into the different exhibits because there was soo much to see! The first part of the aquarium was Georgia Explorer. My favorite were the sting rays. They are too cute. You can pet some of the animals. Souwan got the chance to pet sting rays and crab horseshoes. I was a bit scared and did not participate in the petting. Did I mention there were sharks swimming with the sting rays?! Dare you to! Ha! Can't wait to show you more of our visit. Dolphins, belugas, and Nemo/friends to come!
