I wore this look to a birthday party. A soft green and brown made it an earthy look. Eyes: E.L.F palette and Colorstation Palette Cheeks: Mark Clutch to Go Lips: Mark Lip Click Happy Monday!

you are my sunshine

I was inspired with the color shades of yellow. I think this color is definately a trend for spring/summer 2012. Don't cout this color out for your wardrobe! I'm in love with the blazer and shorts. Of course I can't afford much of these items, however take it as inspiration to go out and get yellow colors! Hopefully next week I will be back with outfit posts. It rained and I was sick this past weekend. XOXO Lisa

Baked Parmesan Chicken

This weekend I was sick and it was raining. Not a very fun weekend. I did get to stay in and cook up a new recipe with the boyfriend. Not all that new. I have made chicken parmesan before, but this time I made it without noodles. Why? Because its healthier. This recipe only has 520 calories and 0 carbs! Well I made some pasta for the boyfriend who can eat anything without gaining any weight. Hate him. haha. Here is the recipe I used. Ingredients: 1 cup mayonnaise 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 tsp Italian seasoning 2 lbs fresh boneless, skinless chicken thigh cutlets 1/4 tsp salt 1/8 tsp ground black pepper Method: 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. 2. In a small bowl combine mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. 3. Season chicken on both sides with salt and pepper and place in a single layer in a 8-inch square baking dish. 4. Generously spread with sauce and bake for 20 minutes, or until done. Serve warm.

mani monday: contrasting colors

I saw this color on the shelf and fell in love. It's Sally Hansen Insta-Dri color in mint sprint. The insta-dri is new to Sally Hansen and to me. The color dries within 4 minutes. I love that! It also is a very thick polish and only needs one coat! The brush is different. It is a flat brush and glides on smoothly. I recommend this product 100%! There are 60 different colors. Go out and get yourself one! The sparkly contrast color is wet n wild's color icon in diamond in the rough. Happy Monday friends!

stronger people stand up for others

makeup monday: i'm wearing revlon colorburst lipstick in coral. I feel like this lipstick is full of moisture & the picture does not do this color justice. It is a bold orange color. Fun for the summer!   on a more serious topic.... "If we do it all together we can change the world" -Bully Movie I'm inspired to use my blog to bring awareness to bullying. As a kid I was bullied. I remember it being heartbreaking. Not understanding why me? And crying a lot. I'm thankful for the kids who stood up for me, the support of my family and having a safe place away from that evil. My situation was not as serious as other stories I have heard. This explains my harsh words to those who spread cruel words about others and make fun of others in with cruel intentions. Yes that is bullying & unacceptable. I was made aware bullies today can be everywhere with no safe place to get away from that. No punishment. My little cousin also made it a reality when sh

5 relationship tips

New Years Eve Theme Park-Carowinds Bar in Virginia **** Not a pro or anything. Having been together for only 7 years. >_<  I thought to give some insight on our relationship and what makes ours good. 1. Be yourself. Be true to who you are. Don't pretend t o be what you are not. Don't mimic someone else. You deserve to be with someone who loves you for you! Don't force it. 2. Trust. Trust each other completely. Your relationship will slowly unravel without this. Fighting every day is not healthy. 3. Be best friends. Tell him everything. Share your day. Have fun together. Be there for each other. Jokes aside- It's been a rough couple of years for me personally and he has been standing next to me thru it all. My best friend <3 4. No friends/family. Your friends and family love to help, but sometimes they butt in where they do not belong. Maybe even make matters worst. Take their advice like a grain of

Songkran @ Wat Prazanimit

The next couple of weekends Thai & Laotions around the world will be celebrating (Songkran) New Year 2012 (Pee Mai=New Year). Wat Prazanimit in North Carolina celebrated this weekend among others. Our family will be going to a couple of temples to celebrate.     Almsgiving had good attendance this year. (Even a majority of my family were able to be in attendance-rare sight. Cheers to that!) The temple was packed-with people even sitting outside. It was a warm day too.  (click photos for larger size) After almsgiving (begins early in the morning and ends in the afternoon) we head to the outside grounds to celebrate. My favorite part of New Year! There is food, pageant/parade for the New Year, and traditional dancing/music. BTW I reunited with my traditional lao dance teacher!! We became so nostalgic. She was THE BEST teacher. With the pageant also brought back memories. Wayyy back in the old days- haha. I was runner up in 2002.  A very honorable pa

nerve wracking

Dress: Target Blazer: American Eagle Sandals: Some place in Charleston, SC What I find nerve wracking (what makes me sick to the stomach) is being center of attention or in the spotlight. I know! This blog is all me. But in front of the camera, to me is another story. I cannot explain how I can get in front of a camera, but not a crowd of people. Even with those close to me being in the audience. Lately I have been in the "spotlight" - all eyes on me. I dislike this so much and it puts me in discomfort. One time I got on stage to sing- because my little brother asked me to do it for him - I froze, ran off stage, scarred for life. In a pageant at a young age, I wanted to cry my eyes out, my mother reminded me what I was doing it for-charity. Now again, for charity, I must face my fear. It is for charity and supporting a good cause. That is all I have to remind myself. I'm sacrificing my comfort zone for the good cause!! Yep I can do this. What do

weekend review

My weekend consisted of being out in the sun with family and friends for a BBQ. It was fabulous! What was yours like?   ***HAPPY TUESDAY FRIENDS!***

crafts + if you really knew me

If you really knew me then you would know: -I dislike rumors and cruel jokes on others/myself. Don't expect me not to say something or call you out either! - Lying is a huge NO in my book. You can do something bad, but if you lie it will upset me more. -I love wearing dresses because it is less ironing. I'm lazy. -_- - I love my coffee in the mornings. I can be grouchy when I don't have it. -Family is priority! I will always put them before anyone. -I live by the golden rule we learned in Kindergarten "One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself." -I am learning to sew/knit and will hopefully be sewing my own wardrobe in the near future!
