Friends of the family and older women help me get dressed in traditional Laos wedding attire. The ceremony began with the parade of the groom. His family sang and cheered as he entered our home. The youngest girl of the bride's family sprinkles water over the groom's feet. And the groom is welcomed by the Bride's family.   Our first sight ceremony began with prayers Our parents tie strings that are blessed and give us blessings. Since we're a year away from the wedding we do not have much to plan. One fun thing to do right now is envisioning the wedding day. The part I like!! As a kid I dreamt of this day, but not so much the details ha! So many thoughts of decor and details running through my mind right now. I have to create a list to start finding all of these fun stuff i'm thinking of. I'm trying not to loose it all. Paris would be a dream for me. It's old architecture, breath taking views, & the Eiffel tower lit with lights. Since it would be difficult to bring all of the family and friends to Paris, we will use it as our inspiration. Still have a lot of time and ideas. The fiancee and I chose red and white for our colors. This was a difficult part. There are gazillions of colors to choose from. I jumped to many different color schemes! Green, blue, pink, yellow etc. No joke. Red/White makes it feel romantic and classic! With red/white roses and candles! Lots of flower
