Kiengkham's Korner: The Late Big News

Souwan and I are so excited to officially announce on this blog we are expecting "Baby Kiengkham" this year aka Baby K.  It has been surreal up until the first ultrasound appointment when we heard the baby's heart beat.  We are so incredibly happy and bless with the overwhelming amount of support, advice and prayers. Souwan and I found out a couple of weeks before Christmas. (December 2nd to be exact) Our first thoughts were "wow there is a tiny person growing!" "I can't believe we're going to be parents" Our first doctor's appointment was to confirm it. It was exciting and awkward. I was hoping it wasn't a joke. I was nervous meeting the doctor's and nurses. The doctor gave me a bag full of information, booked my ultrasound and blood work. (Which both went very well) Unfortunately, the morning sickness medicine wasn't included. At 6 weeks food was not my best friend. However, peppermint and ginger ale helped until I co

Kiengkham's Korner: Souwan's birthday

I want to wish this awesome guy the Happiest Birthday! To my husband who is always there to lean on, inspires me, a loving husband, who I can always count on thru thick and thin, my best friend and who keeps life fun!! Happy Birthday hunnie.I love you xxx!   We celebrated his birthday this past weekend. He opened all of his gifts early, because I was way too excited. He also received knitted socks from our friend and a monogrammed garden flag from our friends. He is very happy with all of his gifts! Souwan wanted to just have some really good food this weekend. So that is what we did! We had a family dinner, where we ate dim sum and Chinese food. The next day I took him out on date to have steak and seafood at one of his favorite hibachi buffet places. (Don't freak out, I didn't have any seafood) Then on his actual birthday, I surprised him with breakfast and his favorite red velvet cake! Most of these are IPhone pics     The Red Velvet Cake is the only pho

outfit of the day: Grid and bear it!

I wore: Blue Old Navy Coat//Black Belk's Grid Tunic//Black Old Navy leggings// Blue Jane Monogram clutch// Black boots gift   The weather has been very cold here. Temps are in the 30s and I dislike taking outfit pics in this weather. I know if you're from the North and reading this, these temps are like summer to ya'll! Ha ha! I am a total whimp! The temp drops below 70 and i'm shivering, throwing on layers, and the heater is blasting. I finally got the courage to stand the cold weather and get an outfit photo. Yay me! I'm ready for the spring now please.

Kiengkham's Korner: Lately....

My brother Lee made this for us as a Christmas present. It was a nice surprise. I really adore the vintage look of it! For Christmas we had all of our cards on it and now it looks empty. I'm still playing around with what to put on it. Right now it's just poinsettias left from Christmas and lanterns. I need to work more on the décor!  Our haul this week:  Before coupon - $87.64, After coupon - $14.90 My husband is making our favorite soup, Pho. I haven't been feeling well and he has been such a trooper around the house. I'm so blessed, and I know it! We gave up our Dish!! I've been trying to live frugal and another bill that we cut is the Dish bill. People usually cannot live with out their cable, but we're going to try it. We bought an antenna. It's not like the old fashion rabbit ears, but it's a thin flat square piece that sticks to the wall/window/back of television and it gives you 60 channels. Souwan and I also signed up for
