Hope you all had a fun weekend. We sure did! As you can tell by the pics we were at the beach. It was a nice getaway and super fun with some cousins of mine. The water was warm, sand was everywhere on our things, frisbee was not happening but we still enjoyed every bit of it.

We're (Fiance & I) will be tuning into the Opening Ceremony tonight. I'm excited to see some of my favorite British people: Duchess Kate, Prince William, Harry Potter (and his friends)  & David Beckham! I will not forget the fashionable athletes! Team USA will be sporting Ralph Lauren. #TeamUSA! My favorite sports in the Olympics to watch: swimming, tennis, basketball, soccer and gymnastics (the USA gymnasts are inspiring). Here is a sneak peek at our engagement photos. More to come soon! I was pretty excited the fiance and myself decided to do these. At first we were not up for it. Usually couples do engagement photos to get to know their wedding photographer, announce their engagement, and/or save the date cards to send to family and friends. These photos were our casual look. We got to see the Washington Monument, Capitol building, and The White House. We did a quick tour of DC and hit the mall for some shopping/candy! DC was fantastic as always and the mall at Pentagon City was huge. Four floors of shops was heaven. DC is such an elegant place to see. The Federal Triangle was breath taking! I felt like there was a piece of old culture there. Shopping at Pentagon City so neat. One of the places I obsessed about was Sweet Factory. I had heard a lot about it and it was nice to finally experience it. Hope you enjoyed a little piece of my trip! =)

(this photo by www.nyenoona.com ) We travelled to Washington DC for the annual July 4th festival at Wat Lao Buddhavong. The festival had a lot of Thai/Lao food, shopping, music/concert, cultural education, and fundraising towards lao landmines, and unexploded ordnance -MAG. Many people showed up to the festival despite the storm that took out power for so many and the miserable heat (111 degrees). A senator of Virginia attended the festival along with some well known Thai singers. One of them being Maitai. My mother waited for approx 4 hours in the heat to hear him perform. I did not make it long enough to see him so my aunt caught a photo of my mom and the singer. (her blog www.nyenoona.com ) It was hot, but a fun day at the temple.
