Natalie & Eli - Salisbury NC Christmas photos

We spent time with these two sweethearts and their momma Anna for a fun Christmas photo session. It was raining but lucky for us we did a session in our home by the Christmas tree. Natalie and Eli helped me decorate the trees with these ornaments. They did such a great job and definitely enjoyed helping me decorate for Christmas! After we decorated the tree and took pictures we had decorated cookies, ate them and had pizza! So much fun! I'm so glad we spent time with this sweethearts! Haylee enjoyed playing with them (she tried to share for the most part) and playing in her kitchen.  Thanks for letting us spend time with ya'll!! These photos are so classic and something they will have forever to look back on! And it will be so fun to look back at these! The light was a bit darker because of the rainy day but we still brought in lighting and the tree was lit for the perfect photos! We had a blast. Enjoy some of my favorites here!

Salisbury NC Graduation - Alexus

This was a beautiful graduation session! I met Alexus through her sweet mom and Salisbury youth council and she is such an easy person to talk to and sweet! And how beautiful is she ya'll??!!! We talked about her future at Wingate as a nursing student, her senior year activities and how she looked forward to college life. It hasn't felt like she is in college yet, but Alexus is excited to be a bulldog! Look at those cords! She's definitely going places and I am so excited for her! They are for her nursing and volunteering for Lady in Pearls. I am so honored to capture this time in her life.  I am in love with this classic style for her portraits. I am so glad the azaleas were still in bloom here! Everything is so lush green and it was a cloudy day. The sun popped in and out during this session. Overall it was a great and fun day and I hope ya'll enjoy the photos.

My favorite to photograph is weddings and families however today I want to share my tips for photographing food. These are totally just my tips and not at all how you must do it. Photography is fun, artistic and expressive of who you are. There are so many styles and perspectives. Here are my 5 tips to photographing food: 1. Choose colors that work well together! Think about the color wheel or how you match your clothes. There are so many colors that pair well, my favorite is green and pink! 2. Try different angles. Think about how you see the subject or maybe how a bird sees your subject. My favorite angle to take of food is from the top! If you have something like a c...
