kiengkham's korner: barn day!

This past week I had the opportunity to photograph a young rider and her horse. (see last post) She gave my husband and I a riding lesson on her horse. It was our first time riding horses! It was an unforgettable moment riding horses. We learned trotting and different horse riding terms. It was exposure into a whole new world and I adored every moment! My lent this year is not to give anything up, but do something I usually do not get much time to do. I am going to spend more time in the kitchen cooking. I dislike cooking, but everyone of my friends and family know this. So I am going to cook more often! My mom gave us home made beef jerky. It's a favorite of mine! I love to eat this with papaya salad and rice. That is what I made for part of my lent! I made a cucumber salad with beef jerky and rice. My mom made chicken larb for us and gave that to us too. My dad also brings over food, he gave us sausage. We pigged out! My best friend had her first Mary Ka...

equestrian bitten

I am very excited to finally share my little project! I had the pleasure of capturing this gorgeous rider and her beautiful horse. This was a very fun experience! I do not know anything about riding, but this young rider taught me so much. She has been riding since the age of 3! She gave me exposure into the world of equestrians. Let me tell you, she makes riding look like child's play. It is a whole other story when you are riding. (Next post will be photos of my husband and I riding) They are a talented duo. I might add a very cute pair too! I had a blast working with these two on this project. I hope you enjoy the photos. I want to add how beautiful her make up is. I partnered with Mary Kay for her look! Thank you to my Mary Kay partner Katie Kozak for arranging it. To get all of the products she is wearing contact Katie or visit her website here . Here is the list of all the Mary Kay products she is wearing: foundation gel primer, time wise luminous wear liqu...

horse protection society of north carolina

Souwan and I trying to play this game. The object is to swing the ring and get it to land on the hook. After about an hour I finally did it! And I was last to get it too. Last week we spent a night out with some friends at Kilted buffalo, a bar near our home. We were there to help support our friends from the Horse Protection Society of North Carolina. This society helps horses in bad health/shape and care them back to good health. Proceeds from the bar would go towards helping these horses and society. I got to meet some cool people who love and care for those horses. Such a great cause with great people and I was so glad to learn and help.
