North Carolina Fourth of July

Happy Birthday America! Souwan, Haylee and I had a wonderful time cooking out with family at home. I'm excited for watching the Capitol fireworks from the comforts of our couch because we are back at work tomorrow. We hope you and your family have a happy and safe 4th of July. I added photos from the Faith Fourth Fair and my nephew Jerwuan's VTO All American Challenge here. My sis in law and her family along with her sis in law and friends came to North Carolina to be a part of a training football camp. It was their first trip here. We were out there all weekend cheering the three boys while they played among 100 few other players. This is one of the top football camps to be in and we are so proud of all three who made top 5 in their group!! While they were in town we loved showing them North Carolina (in hopes that the boys would come play for one of the colleges here hahaha). Souwan and I took my daughter Haylee and my nephew Josh to the Faith Fair which is a huge tradit...

life lately no. 2

Hi Ya'll! This is my little corner of the world and we're happy you're here! I'll tell you what our family has been up to and give you more details than ya need. Ready?! Ok here we go! Zoo - We visited the Asheboro Zoo with some of our good friends and they brought their kids too. We had a fantastic day there. I insist you go because there is so much to explore and so fun with the kids! We are already planning another trip. She also played a fishing game which she won and took home a prize. Ballet - Haylee joined a summer ballet/tap class in town. She enjoys it so much we plan on continuing it! Our good friend Emily teaches the class, which is the best. Haylee loves all of the moves she learns. Sometimes we come home and dance more.  Kickball - My husband joined a kickball league this summ...

faith fair

The Faith fair has become an annual Fourth of July tradition for our little family. It's the one time of year I treat myself to a funnel cake! Yum! The BBQ and ice cream at the fair always seem to taste better. Haylee was tall enough to ride a couple of the rides at the fair this year. The under sea adventure was the ride she and Souwan could go on together. She didn't really enjoy the ride as much as watching the other kids. She smiled but no loud noises of excitement from her. I really hope she warms up to it because we're taking her to Disney this fall and this was her trial run! We will just say she did not have a nap yet and was moody. Yep! I'm going with that. Haylee did enjoy the fishing game. She got 3 tries and 2 of them she caught a shark. She got to pick a stuffed animal from the "medium" collection of prizes hanging. Her choice was a donut. Out of all the cute little animals, Haylee picks a donut. Yes, she is mine. Haha! The fourth is ...
