Tips on taking a toddler to Disney World

I got some funny looks when I told people we were taking Haylee to Disney. I know some would say she is too small among many other things, however we did it! Did we get lucky? Maybe! She was the perfect age to ride the rides and meet the characters. Some people thought Disney would not have small rides for children, but maybe surprised that it's the best place for toddlers! The trip was so worth it! Haylee smiled and laughed the entire time. We made so many great memories and we can't wait to go back! If you're here to read all the details on how or what we did at Disney World then stick around! What we packed: -Disney clothes. We made our own shirts for the trip. Haylee wore a shirt with Minnie Ears and her monogram. It cost us only $12.  I also bought our Mickey ears from the Disney Store Outlet at the mall on sale for $7! They are around $20 at the parks. You could also purchase Disney character shirts at your local retail store. Buying shirts at Disney World can ru...

friday favorites

Here are a couple of my favorite things this week! Hope this brightens your weekend friend. Have a terrific one! Spring/Summer isn't here yet, but this look by HallieDaily makes me want spring/summer to be here now! I adore the colors. The belt is so chic. The coat is on my wish list now! I saw a video of a girl bullying another girl and my heart broke. I was in tears for a girl I didn't even know. This verse says it all. This bun is pefection. If only I could perfect my own to look this elegant, maybe I wouldn't look like a mess at the office everyday. Ha! This stack is fantastic! I adore the bow and the Kate Spade watch combo. I saw this on Disney explorer and this brought me back to our vacation at Epcot. We had this exact meal for lunch there! It was inexpensive, but delicious. If you're there, get one of these croissants! source: one , two , three

friday favorites

Hi All, Hope you had a fun Halloween! I enjoyed giving out treats to all the kids. It was our first year in our first home giving treats out. We had about 30 kids and they were all so great! Although, I have so much candy left over. Guess more for us! It's the first of November so i'm doing a themed Friday favorite post. This year my husband and I handed out candy to 30 kids as Queen of Hearts and Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. I'm a huge Disney fan and loved that we could have a couple costume this year for Halloween. Here are my favorites this week: Favorite cookies: these pumpkin cookies are delish! (source pinterest)   Favorite scenery: I love seeing all of the foliage in the fall time here on the east coast. (source pinterest) Favorite holiday movie: Love at the Thanksgiving parade is one of my favorites to watch this month as Thanksgiving approaches. Disney's Magic Kingdom

The last Disney park we visited during our honeymoon was Magic Kingdom.  This was by far the busiest park out of the three.  The FASTPASS was our lifesaver!!!  We went straight to the FASTPASS for Space Mountain and the Disney Princess Meet/Greet (it pays to be nice and have on your "special" buttons...we go dual FASTPASS from the one of the cast member).  You usually can only get one FASTPASS within the same hour.  We can then proceed to take on the attractions around the area (Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Stitch's Great Escape!, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover).  After we finished riding the attractions in Tomorrowland and meeting the Princesses, we found a great location in front of Cinderella's castle to for the "Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade."     Once the parade finished, we visited the rest of the park.  We got to enjoy t...
