life lately no. 2

Hi Ya'll! This is my little corner of the world and we're happy you're here! I'll tell you what our family has been up to and give you more details than ya need. Ready?! Ok here we go! Zoo - We visited the Asheboro Zoo with some of our good friends and they brought their kids too. We had a fantastic day there. I insist you go because there is so much to explore and so fun with the kids! We are already planning another trip. ( Photos here )  July 4th - ( Photos here ) We visited the Faith fair and Haylee rode her first ride. I hope she likes Disney more than she did the rides at the fair. She also played a fishing game which she won and took home a prize. Ballet - Haylee joined a summer ballet/tap class in town. She enjoys it so much we plan on continuing it! Our good friend Emily teaches the class, which is the best. Haylee loves all of the moves she learns. Sometimes we come home and dance more.  Kickball - My husband joined a kickball league this summ...

kiengkham's korner: memorial weekend

My husband and brother worked on Haylee's nursery. Forget the mess! We have a couple of weeks before we can move out the spare bedroom bed and dresser out to our new shed. YAY. I can't wait to move baby stuff in there!  They did a fantastic job! They added board and batten and some paint to the room. My husband also installed a pretty chandelier to the baby's room. Haylee's room is coming along very nicely and is better than our room. I need to think of updating our room! Our three day weekend started with a Family Fun Day at our church. We had a great time with face paint, games and hanging out with our church family/neighbors. After, Souwan finished phase one of the nursery we decided to take a day off and head to the pool. It was a beautiful day out! The water was very cool for the first day of pool season.   We are 29 weeks and Haylee is the size of a pineapple. We got results back from our sugar test, but not the news ...

birthday bowling

I'm back! If you missed it, last week my computer crashed. My husband is working on repairing it. Until then I am on my new laptop! It has been interesting learning this new laptop and it's features. I am not tech savvy. When my co-worker (who is tech savvy) talks in his language, all I can do is blink! I wait for him to translate computer language. Ha! Since I last posted, I have been busy. We celebrated Souwan's birthday! The guys had a great time bowling and enjoying beer, while the girls got their own lane and enjoyed some old fashion line dancing. I think my cousin's love to dance (even when there is not a wii Just dance on). Also, we enjoyed cosmic bowling. Cosmic bowling is bowling with laser and back lights with popular music. Very fun! We did not stop celebrating with bowling, we went to see a movie. One of our favorite things to do. Souwan, my brother, friend and I saw Jack Ryan. A great action movie about a cia agent/compliance officer. It made me go to work ...

wedding wednesday: last hurrah at beach cove resort pool

For my bachlorette, we took off to Beach Cove Resort, Myrtle Beach this past weekend. This is the second post, following yesterday. (Check it out, if you haven't) The second part of my trip, the girls and I went to Beach Cove Resort's pools. They had various pools, 4 pools, 3 hot tubs, and 1 lazy river. The pools were heated too! In May the water is still cool, so this was perfect for us. We even enjoyed their beach bar and grill. With the small band playing oldies and various pools to jump in, this was amazing. At night, we continued a night swim (older gals had some alcoholic beverages) and relaxed in the hot tubs. This is a different way to celebrate your bachelorette party, but I enjoyed this very much!

pool side

After the family took pictures we had lunch together at Dragon Court. Our favorite Chinese in Charlotte. Then we had some fun at the pool. Serena's home has a community pool. We were lucky to have a day out in the pool. Bummer I forgot my suit. However, my little baby girls {Natida & Malee} got to enjoy some pool time.  I adored watching them laugh and splash around. I did not have my camera with me to capture them, but we had the phone camera.  FYI Natida and Malee are my cousins not daughters. I took the girls to Target and they thought I was a mom. How funny! I am guilty of treating them like they are my little ones. Malee loves to swim. She reminded me to bring her back. All my girls enjoying the pool. The little ones went down the slide. It looked very fun! Na wants to tan. Get out of my way! Just kidding. She actually laid down and realized how hot the cement was. Poor thing.
