kiengkham's korner: Christmas at the Kiengkham's

Our friends and family came over to our house to open presents, eat lunch and of course have a corn-hole tournament!  It was so nice to get together with them...especially my cousin Noah, who has been away training with the military.  We got to FaceTime with our nieces from Chicago.  Our cousin rented "The Interview" online for the entire family to watch...(he stated it was his present to us).  Everyone packed into our living room and had a great time watching the movie.   I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas filled with funny, memorable, happy memories to last a lifetime.    Taken with my iPhone:         Taken with my camera:

Christmas with the Kiengkhams

Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love to celebrate Jesus's birthday! I adore the lights, bows, plaid décor thru the home. My husband loves the plaid and all the Christmas treats. I watch Christmas movies and listen to Christmas carols non stop. Our décor thru the home is bright, traditional and simple. We are still not finished hanging the garland and placing poinsettia's thru the home. Update soon! Thank you for reading friends!

It's my favorite time of the year! Christmas time. I adore the spirit, carols, movies, food, presents and decor at this time. Everyone's spirit around the holidays seems brighter. Doing charitible acts and spending time with your loved ones. Yearly we decorate the house all in garland and lights. Our home is the best during this time of year. Take a look: I just got my fiance a ....since he probably reads this I will leave it out. I've been keeping track of things he has been wanting through the year to get him the perfect gifts. It's not all about the gifts, spending time with your loved ones is a gift. We love watching holiday movies together. My friend Allison and I watched hallmark holdiay movies this past weekend. It was so much fun! We even munched on gingerbread cookies and Christmas tree cakes! Yum.

festival of trees + giveaway winner

This past weekend my family and I went to F&M Trolley Barn for the Festival of Trees. There were 52 total at the festival. This was our first year to go see them. Schools and businesses around Salisbury put their best efforts at decorating the trees. Visitors were able to vote for their favorite. It was very hard to vote. All of the trees were amazing! I enjoyed seeing the variety and unique ornaments. The trees were dressed in snacks, candy, hand made art, pictures and lots more. Take a look.  What is your favorite? A majority of these ornaments are hand made. The cool one was the cutip snowflakes! One of my favorite trees. I love history! The tree I voted for. I liked the pearls, dried flowers and music sheet. Very classy. This was a nostalgic moment for me. I remember as a kid making these types of ornaments in school. You cannot have a tree in Salisbury without Cheerwine products! Cheerwine is produced in Salisbury. And the winner for the m...
