halloweenie party

A couple of years ago I went to a halloweenie roast and it was so much fun. We thought it would be tons of fun to have our own halloweenie party for our family and friends. If you have never experienced fall on the East Coast you have missed a beautiful scene. The leaves change colors and create an amazing scene. My friend Dina (Happy Birthday again!) came to visit us and was just in time for the halloweenie party. She helped us prep all of the fun treats.  We had hot dogs (weenies), boo mix, and so many more halloween treats. Thank you to all the lovely girls who helped out! Serena and I gathered fallen leaves for our pumpkin bags. We gathered a small group for a photo op. It was so awesome to see these costumes. They were all great! We decorated the entire house of spider webs, caution tape, pumpkins and orange lights. This was the best part of the night, smores on the fire pit. It was a chilly night and rain free. outfit of the day: outdoor fall look

what i wore: gap long sleeve top, target jeggings and boots, belk's bag   I wore this to my cousin's birthday party. It was a lovely fall day, sunny and perfect cool weather for a game of corn hole. We also had lunch and drinks out on their patio. This outfit was great for the outdoor activities and a birthday gathering.     Thank you for reading. Have a lovely rest of the week!

emilee's 11th birthday

We celebrated my cousin Emilee's 11th birthday. Emilee's cake was an angry bird theme. Her favorite gift had to be a 3D nintendo game. It was very popular among the kids.   While the Wii dance game was popular with the girls, the corn hole game was a hit with the younger boys and the adults. Corn toss/hole is a game similar to horshoes. You take bags of corn and toss them onto the wooden/plastic platforms or to score more points into the hole. During the game you have an opponent trying to score more or knock off your bags on the platform. We played to 14pts.       Some of our family got to have a group shot before leaving. This first one was unedited and all the attention went to the max the dog.

outfit of the day: presentation wardrobe

what i wore: charlotte russe blazer, h&m dress, ann taylor stocking, rack room boots, belk pearl earring/necklace.   I wore this look to present in front of my colleagues solo for the first time. It was a very terrifying moment. I got thru it, and I may re-think being any spokeswoman. I chose to wear a blazer, it is professional for this specific setting. I recommend it in any office. I received compliments on the floral stockings. Ann Taylor had this great offer two for one type of deal. These are stylish and it keeps you warm in the colder weather.   Thanks for reading =)

I have not done a post on the wedding in a while. There was not much to report, or so I thought. After going down my check list, I realized the many things I had done! Above is what I have done and checked off my list. It started when I got engaged and now we are down to 7 months til the big day! It's going by so quickly! Sorry it's not full of pretty pictures, but I promise to try and get some soon.   (checklist is from theknot.com)

weekend wrap up

This past weekend was very packed with activities. We had a walk for Susan G. Komen and my little cousin's birthday party. The race was filled with people, over 20,000 turned up and it was a beautiful morning for the race. On Sunday we spent time with the family celebrating a special six year old boy. He loves dancing, transformers, planes, and mario brothers.   Hope you had a fantastic weekend!
