October Fun

Halloween just gets better every year! You don't have to be a kid to enjoy this holiday. My brother lost a wager and dressed up as a fat ballerina and danced to Beyonce's "Single Ladies". The theme park also celebrates Halloween by transforming the park into a haunted park.They also give the park the name Scarowinds, a play on there real name. Creatures walk around the park and give people a scare, creepy music fill the park as you walk around, and there were 15 various themed mazes to walk through. The girls got a real scare by going through a camp themed maze. Grandfather Mountain

Last weekend my family and I took a trip to the Grandfather Mountain. Grandfather Mountain is located in Linville, North Carolina. It is apart of the Appalachain Mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway can be located on the south side of the mountain. Grandfather Mountain rises more than 4,000 feet. It hosts the scottish Highland Games and also has the mile high swinging bridge. The Grandfather mountain also holds the record for highest surface winds speeds. My family arrived there and hiked up the mountain to the infamous swinging bridge. I went there when i was young and remember the swinging bridge and that it used to be made of wood and chains. They have since changed the bridge. It still swings and it makes a sort of music when the winds come through.
