2012: my year in review

Hi All, I have been MIA but for good reasons! I've been spending much time working at the office (not only santa's busiest month but ours too), celebrating the holidays with my family and friends, and planning a wedding (less than 6 months). Before the New Year I wanted to make one last post for this year. I do these every year and I love looking back at all my great memories from the year.  Here is my year in review! We started the year celebrating my then boyfriend's 26th birthday with our friends and family at Dave & Busters. New Year new snow! It snowed for the first time of the year. Our friends from college got a new home and a little reunion took place. In March we travelled to DC with our German friends Dina and Mark to view the Cherry Blossom festival. A first time for us and very beautiful! We also got to meet our friend Geoff's girlfriend Lauren and reunite with a high school friend Phillip. In April the New Year came for Thai and Lao folks...

outfit of the day: christmas red cable knit

what i wore: bow headband (not sure), floral gold earrings (gift from mom and dad), juicy couture necklace (gift from brother), thrift cable knit sweater, target jeggings and riding boots. We're getting ready for Christmas. It's a busy time for Santa, but for us too. Lots of gift shopping, attending parties, family gatherings, and wedding planning. We just finished our Christmas photos and we're getting ready to send those out to our loved ones. I wore this outfit, minus the accessories in our Christmas cards. Can't wait to get those sent out! Happy times to all! Thanks for reading!

outfit of the day: green polka dots

what I wore: abercrombie & fitch crop jacket, lilly Pulitzer top, gap skinny pants, target riding boots, and the green scarf is a gift from the fiance. My fiance spoiled me with a lot of new scarves for the fall/winter season this year. One of my favorites is this green polka dotted scarf. It is very light, but accessorizes very well. I adore the color and print.  It is a staple for me now.

its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It's my favorite time of the year! Christmas time. I adore the spirit, carols, movies, food, presents and decor at this time. Everyone's spirit around the holidays seems brighter. Doing charitible acts and spending time with your loved ones. Yearly we decorate the house all in garland and lights. Our home is the best during this time of year. Take a look: I just got my fiance a ....since he probably reads this I will leave it out. I've been keeping track of things he has been wanting through the year to get him the perfect gifts. It's not all about the gifts, spending time with your loved ones is a gift. We love watching holiday movies together. My friend Allison and I watched hallmark holdiay movies this past weekend. It was so much fun! We even munched on gingerbread cookies and Christmas tree cakes! Yum.

outfit of the day: statement coat

: 1/125Æ’/5.6ISO 40070 mm Settings: 1/60Æ’/4.2ISO 40080 Settings: 1/30Æ’/4ISO 40055 mm Settings: 1/60Æ’/4ISO 40055 What I wore: H&M coat, Macy's dress, Gifted hat I wore this when our execs came to visit our office. They made a trip down after Hurricane Sandy hit our sister site in Jersey. Both toured our site and extended a great appreciation for our efforts. This outfit was perfect to visit with execs. Many of my co-workers wore suits. I have many, but wanted to dress up more than usual. It was a great opportunity to wear this bold red dress and statement coat to the office. Our office is business casual, ties and blazers are not required everyday. I adore this coat, the buttons and structure mostly. The down side, it attracted every piece of hair and lint. Thank you for reading =) xx

our thanksgiving part 1

My Thanksgiving started early on Tuesday. At my office we had an early celebration. All of our coworkers came together to make a big feast for all. (all photos taken by Iphone) At work we collected canned goods for Second Harvest Food Bank. It is our second year collecting. Second Harvest is an organization that helps feed low income families around the country. Every little bit helps.   I made egg rolls for our office Thanksgiving lunch. These are popular at my office! I got in the Thanksgiving spirit watching a classic, Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. I love when all of my family is home. Everyone came to grandma's house for Thanksgiving. Although we did miss our other boys( Edward, Ike, Ben, Chris, & Kit) , some were able to make it home. My little cousin was able to spend this holiday with us. This year she spent time with her dad's side of the family - us. I am very thankful she spent it here with us this year! ...

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am so very thankful for the life I have been blessed with and the people who are in it. I hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!!
