our thanksgiving part 1

My Thanksgiving started early on Tuesday. At my office we had an early celebration. All of our coworkers came together to make a big feast for all.

(all photos taken by Iphone)

At work we collected canned goods for Second Harvest Food Bank. It is our second year collecting. Second Harvest is an organization that helps feed low income families around the country. Every little bit helps.

I made egg rolls for our office Thanksgiving lunch. These are popular at my office!

I got in the Thanksgiving spirit watching a classic, Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.

I love when all of my family is home. Everyone came to grandma's house for Thanksgiving. Although we did miss our other boys( Edward, Ike, Ben, Chris, & Kit) , some were able to make it home.

My little cousin was able to spend this holiday with us. This year she spent time with her dad's side of the family - us. I am very thankful she spent it here with us this year!

Som came in from Fort Bragg. He is in the army and has done two tours. We are thankful to have him home and spend this year with us!

The next morning we woke up early to shop on Black Friday. Black Friday is when retail stores have huge sales and discounts in their store. It can be quite overwhelming and frustrating. However, you do purchase many things for a great deal!

I had to have my coffee. The best way to start the morning is with peppermint mocha!

My sweet fiance purchased this beautiful peplum dress for me! I can't wait to wear it somewhere nice. In case you were curious, I was playing around with photo frames on my phone.

Thanks for reading! I took photos of Thanksgiving with my dslr camera and will post those up in the next day or so. These photos from from the Iphone.

outfit of the day: casual denim shorts and sperry's

what i wore: cynthia rowley tee, american eagle shorts, thrifted belt, juicy couture bracelet, belk's charm bracelet, old navy aviator shades, sperry's top-sider boat shoes. I wore this out for a few errands with the fiance. My car battery needed replacing, I have worn that thing out. Ex. leaving it on while taking naps during lunch. Don't do this ladies. Ha! This look is so comfy and definitely a repeat when I'm running around town.

makeup monday: blush shades

I'm wearing Maybelline Mineral Power in Rose I'm wearing Mark. blush from natural palette Blush colors: from left to right E.L.F in Coral Mark. Natural Palette Mark. Clutch on the go palette Maybelline dream bouncy blush in pink frosting Maybelline minerals power in rose Mark. Clutch on the go palette (2nd color) My many different blush color choices thru the seasons. I choose coral and neutral colors during the summer and when the fall/winter come I change to pinks and rose colors. My skin is a medium tone and rose/pink colors look best. If you are a lighter skin tone (like Emma Stone or Rachel McAdams) I would go with apricot to coral pink colors for a natural look. Hope you have a magnificent week!

outfit of the day: classic vest

what i wore: express button up, old navy vest, f21 jeans, gift boots.   Classic pieces stay for a lifetime. I have had this vest for a long time. Traditional yet in style. Not popular, but likable. A little bit of old fashion and tradition may not be popular, may go back "50 years" but this vest seems to never fade out of style for me.
