birthday series the finale!

The last of the series! Are we sad? I was! Charleston was so amazing for my birthday. I hope you all enjoyed the pictures. I took over 800+. Too many to share. If you are ever in South Carolina -Charleston is a must stop and see. It is way too gorgeous. I cannot resist history and art. And if you cannot then you must see Charleston. Thank you again everyone for making my 25th birthday special! I got an overwhelming amount of love and it meant a lot to me. So cheesy, but so true. Funny story. This past Friday my boys (cousins are majority boys) came over for movie night and surprised me with Oreo cookie cake. Some of them did not get to celebrate with me. Get this...one slice has 760 calories! O-M-G. I was like "nooo don't do this to me" LOL. Ok well that was my weak moment. Thank you Thank you all. =) We visited Patriots Pointe and Fort Sumter on the last day. Fort Sumter is significant in the Civil war. The first shots were fired from Fort Sumter. Of course Fort Sumter...

the classic romantic

Cardigan: BCBG Skirt: Thrift Tights: Ann Taylor Jewlery: watch-Kohls (gift from Dina) ring- charleston city market (anniversary gift from Souwan) Purse: Thrift Two of my favorite fall pieces has to be a cardigan and design/patterned tights.  It is so preppy and girly. The tights from Ann Taylor are two for $20. Maybe a bit pricy for me, but I fell in love with the floral pattern on it. I had never met anything like it haha. (Yes, i fall in love with clothes and they love me back) And the skirt! I found it at a thrift store. Great find. It made this outfit romantic/classic like, no? Which is me. I'm a hopeless romantic -love those cheesy lines- kinda girl. I adore any classic style over the new trends. I had to do twirls. I could not resist it! What are you favorite pieces right now? Share them with me below! Do not foget about the awesome mark makeup or jewlery giveaway!! Go here  !

birthday series part 3

Mahi Wrap. Yum! Coconut Shrimp   Pina Colada After Boone Hall we went to the beach. Instead of going to Folly we chose something new. We went to Isle of Palms. It was really nice! A lot more commercial than Folly. It had better parking access too. Folly parking can be a disaster. I will def be going back. Hopefully with my fam or Souwan's next time. Wish we knew to go to this beach with S, Kim and Souwan's fam. Sighs. Next time! All of us had lunch at Joe's right on the beach. It was a great day to sit on the patio to eat. After we walked around in the sand a bit. Then we went to Waterfront to hang out before going to dinner at AW Shucks. At shucks they had a great pina colada. I preferred it over Joe's pina colada. I was exhausted after everything! That ended day two of the birthday celebration. The next day we went out to see the Angel Oak tree. The tree is over 1000 years old. It is a spectacular tree! The limbs are the size of me and bigger. Go check ...

mondays with mark: giveaway-makeup or jewlery

It's October and time for another giveaway. The spa giveaway from last month will go to Dina. Thank you so much for helping with shelterbox! She will receive a $25 gift card to the spa of her choice. So thanks again! Also, last month I spent time raising money for not only shelter box, but Susan G. Komen. Since they ran so close to each other shelterbox was not as successful, unfortunately. I was a little bummed about that. I did raise (with the help of my awesome coworkers) $630 for Susan G. Komen. So YAY! If you still want to help please do! Go to shelterbox or to my team page to help out. Let me know if you need links. You can also find them in my previous posts. Ok on to the contest. I want to try something new. BTW I'm really into trying new things! lol. Had this conversation with someone the other day. I tried mussels for the first time. Not bad! The contest, right... this month I want to change up the rules. You have a chance of winning makeup or jewelry from my mar...

birthday series-part two

Here is part two of my birthday trip to Charleston, SC. One of the many places we visited. This is Boone Hall Plantation. The Notebook and Queen (movies) used Boone Hall plantation for location. It is a very popular tourist attraction in South Carolina. I can see why! There is so much history and beauty on this plantation. I adored the oak trees. Boone Hall plantation has the oldest and most preserved slave homes.  A farm is located on the grounds. You can buy local veggies at the market. We learned a lot! A must see!
