wedding wednesday: bridal show

My girlfriend got engaged and we are beginning to plan her special day! It is so exciting! Just last year she was helping me plan my special day. Being able to support her during this is going to be a blast. She is getting married in September, so we are not too far away. Our first bride/bridesmaid outing was at a bridal show in our city. The show was full of ideas and quite overwhelming. There were plenty of cakes to sample, dresses to see, DJs and beautiful floral arrangements. Everywhere you looked were booths and brides to be waiting to see the latest trends in weddings. Every table/floral setting was romantic and soft, probably the trend in 2014 weddings. There was a lot of "grown sexy" (Catherine & Sean's theme from the bachelor wedding) cakes and florals. It was a fun afternoon with my girlfriends, and I think our favorite moment was meeting Emily Maynard from The bachelor & Bachelorette! She was so kind to take a moment from her wedding planning for a photo. We ran into her after the contest winners were announced. She walked passed us, and looked like a familiar face in the crowd. No one following her, just as she was a normal person. It was refreshing to see that fame didn't change her. A beautiful woman and bride to be! Take a look at our photo with Emily and the rest of the show:

  1. Bridal shows are, indeed, the best place to get ideas for a wedding. It won’t just give you the chance to know wedding organizers in the event, you might also get discounted price for services offered. Hope your friend got lots of helpful ideas during this event. By the way, I love the wedding dresses that you’ve posted. Is it among these the soon-to-be bride’s best pick? :)

outfit of the day: casual denim shorts and sperry's

what i wore: cynthia rowley tee, american eagle shorts, thrifted belt, juicy couture bracelet, belk's charm bracelet, old navy aviator shades, sperry's top-sider boat shoes. I wore this out for a few errands with the fiance. My car battery needed replacing, I have worn that thing out. Ex. leaving it on while taking naps during lunch. Don't do this ladies. Ha! This look is so comfy and definitely a repeat when I'm running around town.

outfit of the day: classic vest

what i wore: express button up, old navy vest, f21 jeans, gift boots.   Classic pieces stay for a lifetime. I have had this vest for a long time. Traditional yet in style. Not popular, but likable. A little bit of old fashion and tradition may not be popular, may go back "50 years" but this vest seems to never fade out of style for me.

outfit of the day: outdoor fall look

what i wore: gap long sleeve top, target jeggings and boots, belk's bag   I wore this to my cousin's birthday party. It was a lovely fall day, sunny and perfect cool weather for a game of corn hole. We also had lunch and drinks out on their patio. This outfit was great for the outdoor activities and a birthday gathering.     Thank you for reading. Have a lovely rest of the week!
