outfit of the day: barefoot landing

We took a trip to the beach last week and I took a couple of outfit photos. My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary. Barefoot Landing is a shopping place at the beach and has some attractions there too. My husband wanted to see the Tigers, but they were not there for viewing the morning we went. Instead we did some shopping and browsing at barefoot landing. Here is my outfit...
What I wore: yellow striped J.Crew tee//blue Old Navy shorts//thrifted purse//Francesca's Collection sunglasses//shoe show sandals

And since I have been behind on posting my outfits weekly, I decided to post a few outfits I have been wearing this week at the office. I took them with my phone because I am usually up and running out the door very early in the morning. Check it out below! If you like this, let me know and I can continue taking snaps of my outfits daily with my phone.
red macy's dress//michael kors watch (anniversary gift from Souwan)
navy blue target dress//green bauble necklace was a gift from Souwan//Michael kor's watch
I am obsessed with this Michael kors watch gift from Souwan. I have been wearing it daily! I adore the roman numerals and it's the perfect size for my wrist.
red h&m blazer//white house black market striped blouse//black gap skinny pants

Strawberry patch at Patterson Farm

This turned out to be a great day for the Strawberry patch at Patterson Farm! It was cloudy but warm and perfect for picking strawberries. It was calling for rain but we didn't see a drop thankfully. This was an early Mother's Day trip for us. We have come to this farm every year to pick strawberries and i'm so glad we had another great trip!
Haylee told all of her friends she was going to the Strawberry patch and she was so excited! It's the perfect date or family outing. It's for everyone! Picking strawberries in the patch and having a homemade ice cream is a great way to spend quality time together. Hope you enjoy photos from our visit to Patterson Farm!

my look back on 2017

2017 was a fantastic year! Sorry but there are ton of photos. More than years past!! We did so much this year and I wanted to get it all in. I love documenting our memories and being able to look back, reflect and cherish all of these moments.  It is the best part of this blog. I LOVE being able to look at these photos and go back to that time for a second. It's so cool how you look at a photo and all these feelings from that moment flood back to you!! SO MUCH FUN! I hope ya'll had a great year as well and if not... there is much to look forward in the New Year! It's a new beginning!

I'm probably going to write a long blog so sorry!
Our year was full of so many joyful experiences. Our Winter, we received snow and Haylee got to go sledding for the first time. Haylee loved it and we had lot of fun with her. She did not want to come back inside. Souwan celebrated with a low key birthday at home with his new table grill. The Rowan Museum had an awesome exhibit on Cheerwi…

Charlotte NC Engagement- Maurice + KaShara

Although we had overcast weather and it was in the 60s, this engagement session turned out to be the best! There wasn't any wind and these two are wonderful! Souwan, Haylee and I drove out to the Noda area of Charlotte to meet with Maurice and KaShara at Amelie's. I had a wonderful time getting to know all about the two of them and details about their upcoming fall wedding. As soon as KaShara and Maurice walked in with huge smiles and hugs, I knew this was going to be a great couple to work with! I have known Maurice since college and was so thrilled that they reached out to me on Instagram. I easily fell in love with KaShara and just knew this is a match! We went out to Noda and our old college stomping ground Frazier Park behind Johnson & Wales. Noda is filled with really great places to photograph from all the beautiful buildings and the artistic work! Frazier Park brought back memories for all of us! They have the cutest furbabies who they used to bring to Frazier. I l…
