souwan's birthday

My husband's birthday was this past weekend. Haylee and I made it very special and an all day event! We gave him lots of sweets to eat, because that is his favorite. We started the day with breakfast, pancakes! It's not often where I get to make breakfast. We are always on the go so we usually grab a quick breakfast like store bought muffins, fruit and yogurt. So for this special occasion I made pancakes! Sooo good! Then we had a small family dinner. Our friend Dina from Germany sent us this amazing raclette grill for his birthday. I marinated steak and shrimp. Souwan had a blast sitting with family and just grilling at the table for his birthday dinner. It's a really cool experience!!! It's fun to sit down, grill on the table and catch up with family. My mom also made her delish spicy papaya salad. My mom always seems to make it so much better! glamping

Our New Years Eve we went out to eat sushi with our family and then came home for some indoor "camping" fun. Which I like to say glamping! It's too cold outside right now for camping here and because i'm not fond of being outdoors after dark lol. I love the idea of camping, and I've always wanted to try camping, but I feel the kind of camping I would like to do would get expensive. One of the goals for 2017, which I forgot to share in that long list, is to pay off one large debt. We have decided to take on the smallest debt. Anyhoo, i'll go into more details in a later blog. For this blog post, we went glamping! It's very easy to do, no cost at all and any kid will love this! I did this as a kid with my cousins, but with couch cushions. We found some sheets from our room and laid it over some poles we tied together and we used Christmas lights to decorate. Haylee enjoyed having a tent to sleep in and she loved that we decorated it with lights just like th...
