glamping

Our New Years Eve we went out to eat sushi with our family and then came home for some indoor "camping" fun. Which I like to say glamping! It's too cold outside right now for camping here and because i'm not fond of being outdoors after dark lol. I love the idea of camping, and I've always wanted to try camping, but I feel the kind of camping I would like to do would get expensive. One of the goals for 2017, which I forgot to share in that long list, is to pay off one large debt. We have decided to take on the smallest debt. Anyhoo, i'll go into more details in a later blog. For this blog post, we went glamping! It's very easy to do, no cost at all and any kid will love this! I did this as a kid with my cousins, but with couch cushions. We found some sheets from our room and laid it over some poles we tied together and we used Christmas lights to decorate. Haylee enjoyed having a tent to sleep in and she loved that we decorated it with lights just like the Christmas tree. My favorite was the food, smores and hot dogs to go with our camping! This was so much fun for the whole family on New Years Eve and the best part is we didn't have to splurge on anything!!! A wonderful way to start 2017!!!

outfit of the day: casual denim shorts and sperry's

what i wore: cynthia rowley tee, american eagle shorts, thrifted belt, juicy couture bracelet, belk's charm bracelet, old navy aviator shades, sperry's top-sider boat shoes. I wore this out for a few errands with the fiance. My car battery needed replacing, I have worn that thing out. Ex. leaving it on while taking naps during lunch. Don't do this ladies. Ha! This look is so comfy and definitely a repeat when I'm running around town.

outfit of the day: fall favorites

These outfit posts were from last years' blog posts. You maybe wondering why? I have been consuming soup and cough drops for the past 5 days-I have been sick with a cold. Instead I have a flashback of my look from fall last year. I'm looking forward to showing you all new looks and innovating new with old pieces from my closet. ļ»æ

I choose coral and neutral colors during the summer and when the fall/winter come I change to pinks and rose colors. My skin is a medium tone and rose/pink colors look best. If you are a lighter skin tone (like Emma Stone or Rachel McAdams) I would go with apricot to coral pink colors for a natural look. Hope you have a magnificent week! ļ»æ
