our east coast adventure

Last week we took our family on a road trip to different cities on the East coast to end it with my little brother's graduation at UMass in Massachusetts.

We started in DC, it was Haylee's first time and my mom's first time touring DC. It was a beautiful day seeing the Washington monument, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and the White House. My mom really enjoyed seeing DC and was very excited being there. I really enjoy visiting the monuments, especially Jefferson and Lincoln! Haylee enjoyed running around the city! I was glad for the hiking gear we carried Haylee in because we walked a bunch!

Then we stopped in Philadelphia. We wanted to see the Liberty Bell. It was a beautiful city. I had never been to Philadelphia and it was exciting to visit. I didn't realize it was a national park! The history really came alive and was amazing there.

Our next stop was the big apple, New York City! I have been wanting to see Time Square and I'm so glad we experienced it together. There was so much going on and lots to see. We took Haylee to the Disney store and she ran around so excited. It was a two story store and was so magical. I loved the escalator with the lanterns that looked like the Rapunzel movie. I really wanted to do a tour of the city but we didn't have the time.

We stayed near Boston for our last part of the trip. Our family went to Chinatown and enjoyed good pho and dumplings. The pho was my favorite. We toured Beacon Hill and that was so beautiful! I loved all of the window boxes. Next was a day in Martha's Vineyard. It was so wonderful and just like i imagined it. The homes with the beautiful blooms! We enjoyed the lobster even though half the day it was raining. After the rain we got to enjoy a little visit to the beach.

My brother graduated from UMass and we are very proud of him. The commencement was very nice with the bag pipes to watching him walk. Haylee fell asleep before she could see her uncle walk but at least we got video proof and lots of photos!

It was a fun family trip and great memories! We will definitely want to visit all these cities again soon! Enjoy some of the photos!

outfit of the day: casual denim shorts and sperry's

what i wore: cynthia rowley tee, american eagle shorts, thrifted belt, juicy couture bracelet, belk's charm bracelet, old navy aviator shades, sperry's top-sider boat shoes. I wore this out for a few errands with the fiance. My car battery needed replacing, I have worn that thing out. Ex. leaving it on while taking naps during lunch. Don't do this ladies. Ha! This look is so comfy and definitely a repeat when I'm running around town.

outfit of the day: classic vest

what i wore: express button up, old navy vest, f21 jeans, gift boots.   Classic pieces stay for a lifetime. I have had this vest for a long time. Traditional yet in style. Not popular, but likable. A little bit of old fashion and tradition may not be popular, may go back "50 years" but this vest seems to never fade out of style for me.

outfit of the day: outdoor fall look

what i wore: gap long sleeve top, target jeggings and boots, belk's bag   I wore this to my cousin's birthday party. It was a lovely fall day, sunny and perfect cool weather for a game of corn hole. We also had lunch and drinks out on their patio. This outfit was great for the outdoor activities and a birthday gathering.     Thank you for reading. Have a lovely rest of the week!
