My daughter is now three years old! I was told she is not in the toddler age. I beg to differ because I mostly cannot handle how fast she is growing. Her birthday was actually a week ago, but it's challenging to balance everything going on. For example, I sat with Haylee for 30 minutes as she had a meltdown about me eating dinner in my office rather than my usual dinner at the table with the rest of our little family. Currently she is sitting next to me eating dinner as I type this blog post and singing Moana tunes to me. Yep, you might think of me as a pushover. I will argue that i'm choosing my battles. HA!
Before I talk about her birthday party, I want to say Thanks for coming to spend time with Haylee. and the birthday wishes on social media. It truly means a lot to us and to her. I want to also reflect on Haylee and everything I have come to learn about her. Haylee is very sensitive, dramatic, playful, loud, funny, and creative. Haylee has learned a lot of skills since she was 2 like: Her vocabulary is good, using words like frustrated, hippopotamus, excited, dinosaurs. I've lost count with all the words but she speaks full sentences. She is potty trained, doesn't need her pacifier, knows her colors and shapes. She weighs 24 lbs and is 35 1/2 inches tall.
She loves:
- family and friends
-to eat Mcdonald's, hot dogs, pizza

If you would like to hear her birth story and see photos go here. Her birthday party was the best to date. Haylee's family and friends came out in full support to celebrate. We started by eating a full buffet of Asian American food cooked by myself, Souwan, my other family (Mom Dad and Aunts/Uncles). Which is the best food. You have to show up quick for the eggrolls to be gone and forget leftovers because every Asian member gets a tray of food to take home with them.
The décor was done by us and Haylee used her creative art skills to make all the sea animals on the banner. I really loved the banner because of her sweet touch!!

Haylee and her friends sang her Happy Birthday and cheered over her Moana ice cream cake. Yes ICE CREAM cake. I was so nervous making this cake thinking it would not turn out good, but everyone enjoyed it on the hot Saturday afternoon. Haylee helped me with the baking process and put her decorations on the dress. I thought it was just that more special for her to create the cake.
We then surprised Haylee and her friends with a visit from Moana (aka Auntie Emily)!!! Moana spent time talking with the girls and dancing a hula dance. The kids loved this and Haylee was so appreciative. She wanted to keep dancing and talking to Moana. She admired Moana's necklace and dress.
Haylee and her friends playing in the water sprinkler and with a castle piñata. The kids really enjoyed the sprinklers and getting candy from the piñata. We even spoiled them with more bubbles, balloons and candy in their favor treats for coming to celebrate with Haylee. We are so appreciative to everyone that came to celebrate and spend time with our sweet birthday princess!!!!
Enjoy a few of our favorite photos from her Moana themed birthday!
