life lately no. 2

Hi Ya'll! This is my little corner of the world and we're happy you're here! I'll tell you what our family has been up to and give you more details than ya need. Ready?! Ok here we go!

Zoo - We visited the Asheboro Zoo with some of our good friends and they brought their kids too. We had a fantastic day there. I insist you go because there is so much to explore and so fun with the kids! We are already planning another trip. (Photos here

July 4th - (Photos here) We visited the Faith fair and Haylee rode her first ride. I hope she likes Disney more than she did the rides at the fair. She also played a fishing game which she won and took home a prize.

Ballet - Haylee joined a summer ballet/tap class in town. She enjoys it so much we plan on continuing it! Our good friend Emily teaches the class, which is the best. Haylee loves all of the moves she learns. Sometimes we come home and dance more.

Kickball - My husband joined a kickball league this summer. His team was pretty good. They were regular season champs. They had games every week and I was able to make them all. We loved cheering Souwan and his team on. Haylee loved being able to go and play on the playground while watching. lol.

Pool - We've had some pool time this summer and cannot wait to get to Florida for a whole week of Disney, Universal Studios and pool time!

Father's day - We celebrated Father's Day with good food at home. I made Ban Xeo and we got a family photo done! I'm learning a lot of different photography skills and love testing them out with some family photos!

Dad's office - We love visiting Souwan's office. Mostly because his co=workers are the best, but we got lunch with Souwan too. Ha!

Art class- We started Haylee in an art class. It's the same place where she has music and gym. She is loving the art class. Probably because she makes a mess with the paint. So far she has made some awesome artwork. A kite, a beach pale, a sippy cup! I love that they explore different ways to paint and the different textures they explore. They also have a story time during class! They have learned about counting and shapes. Haylee is now counting to 8!

Stomach bug- The whole family got a stomach bug and one weekend we were all sick. It's the first time that has happened. We're glad it didn't stay long!

Visit with Lee- It's fun to visit Charlotte. We visited Lee for lunch and got to visit Super G mart. It would take all day to get through all the food they have there. Very cool!  Will have to visit  again.

Haylee - Just because i'd like to remember these things I want to write an update here. Haylee is counting to 8 now. A month ago she only could get to 3! She is getting better at going to the potty. We haven't gotten over the accidents. Her sentences are now 4 words long. She loves watching Daniel the Tiger, Little Einstein, Sherriff Callie's Wild West and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Her favorite songs "I had a little turtle", "Bubble gum, sticky", any of the Rompy songs from class, songs from the Moana movie. She's still very shy. Haylee does like to say "look" while showing you things around the house. Haylee now looks at the camera and says cheese! She loves naming all the body parts (especially when you're wanting her to go to bed). She loves playing dress up and playing "grocery store". Haylee loves to be a pack rat and put all her toys and odds/ends in her ballet bag or purse. She's enjoying seafood and other meats now! She hates thunderstorms. Every time we have a storm she tells us she doesn't like it. With being in class with other kids she is learning to share, but she does like to take things and say "mine". Haylee is learning to share, one night I had my glasses on and she asked me to share. Maybe too much sharing lol.

Next life lately Haylee will be 2 years old!!! I'm excited but sad at the same time. She's growing so fast.

See ya soon!
Love, Lisa

outfit of the day: casual denim shorts and sperry's

what i wore: cynthia rowley tee, american eagle shorts, thrifted belt, juicy couture bracelet, belk's charm bracelet, old navy aviator shades, sperry's top-sider boat shoes. I wore this out for a few errands with the fiance. My car battery needed replacing, I have worn that thing out. Ex. leaving it on while taking naps during lunch. Don't do this ladies. Ha! This look is so comfy and definitely a repeat when I'm running around town.

outfit of the day: classic vest

what i wore: express button up, old navy vest, f21 jeans, gift boots.   Classic pieces stay for a lifetime. I have had this vest for a long time. Traditional yet in style. Not popular, but likable. A little bit of old fashion and tradition may not be popular, may go back "50 years" but this vest seems to never fade out of style for me.

outfit of the day: outdoor fall look

what i wore: gap long sleeve top, target jeggings and boots, belk's bag   I wore this to my cousin's birthday party. It was a lovely fall day, sunny and perfect cool weather for a game of corn hole. We also had lunch and drinks out on their patio. This outfit was great for the outdoor activities and a birthday gathering.     Thank you for reading. Have a lovely rest of the week!
