souwan's birthday

My husband's birthday was this past weekend. Haylee and I made it very special and an all day event! We gave him lots of sweets to eat, because that is his favorite. We started the day with breakfast, pancakes! It's not often where I get to make breakfast. We are always on the go so we usually grab a quick breakfast like store bought muffins, fruit and yogurt. So for this special occasion I made pancakes! Sooo good! Then we had a small family dinner. Our friend Dina from Germany sent us this amazing raclette grill for his birthday. I marinated steak and shrimp. Souwan had a blast sitting with family and just grilling at the table for his birthday dinner. It's a really cool experience!!! It's fun to sit down, grill on the table and catch up with family. My mom also made her delish spicy papaya salad. My mom always seems to make it so much better! For dessert, I made Souwan's favorite red velvet cake. YUMMY! The food was so good and I could do this every day, but we ...

glamping

Our New Years Eve we went out to eat sushi with our family and then came home for some indoor "camping" fun. Which I like to say glamping! It's too cold outside right now for camping here and because i'm not fond of being outdoors after dark lol. I love the idea of camping, and I've always wanted to try camping, but I feel the kind of camping I would like to do would get expensive. One of the goals for 2017, which I forgot to share in that long list, is to pay off one large debt. We have decided to take on the smallest debt. Anyhoo, i'll go into more details in a later blog. For this blog post, we went glamping! It's very easy to do, no cost at all and any kid will love this! I did this as a kid with my cousins, but with couch cushions. We found some sheets from our room and laid it over some poles we tied together and we used Christmas lights to decorate. Haylee enjoyed having a tent to sleep in and she loved that we decorated it with lights just like th...

my look back on 2016

I wanted to say Thank you so much to every one who support Davong Marie. Especially my husband who supports all my big dreams and helps me with everything here!! It's been a wonderful 2016!!! I cannot express how grateful I am for each and every person! it's truly amazing and a humbling experience to be able to be a part of your lives! We started the New Year with some sadness of our friend passing, but we know he is in a good place. During January Souwan celebrated his BIG 30 with a mini vacation! It was so much fun playing in the pool and eating lots of seafood! This year his birthday will be at home, but we have some great things planned! Meanwhile, Haylee had a lot of firsts! She crawled, walked, ran, went from breastmilk to whole milk, using a cup (with a straw), using a sippy cup, talking, singing, some sign language, climbing, hugging, kissing, playing with blocks, self feeding, learning to cook. She is growing so fast! I am excited to hear more t...

zoie - christmas 2016

When my friend from college messaged me, I was so thrilled. I love when I get to catch up with old friends and meet their sweet little family!! Zoie is just the sweetest and had a great time with our musical instruments. She also had fun playing with my daughter. They had a wonderful time together and I can't wait for them to get together for a playdate! How adorable is this?! Zoie just loves music! Her momma and brother would play a song and she just started dancing. It was the cutest moves ever! Also look at all of her cute outfits, and those shoes!!! This is my last session for the year and i'm very sad it's wrapping up, but I hope we get to do this again next year! We have been so blessed!!! Thank you to all of my family and friends for supporting Davong Marie. We certainly feel blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! Here are some of my favorites from this session....
