Christmas Tree and lights

My favorite things about this time of year is the Christmas trees, the giving  of gifts, & candy canes! My mom always said that I was attracted to anything that sparkled and Christmas trees is one of those things.

After Thanksgiving the 9 foot Christmas tree goes up in our home. We went with traditional red, gold, & white colors on the tree. Also around the house its lots of reds and golds.

Some of the ornaments are special on the tree this year. We found a Johnson & Wales ornament that was given to us by our school. I was excited to see that and put it on the tree because it brought back all the good memories with school mates.

Another ornament that is new to the tree this year is this gold and red ball that a sweet guy gave me while I was out shopping for my dad's gift. He stopped me before I left the store and handed me this as a thank you for coming in. The store salesman also gave me a plate shaped as Santa Clause.

And look the elf is working in the gift wrapping department! I love the choices of wrapping paper he's got!

outfit of the day: casual denim shorts and sperry's

what i wore: cynthia rowley tee, american eagle shorts, thrifted belt, juicy couture bracelet, belk's charm bracelet, old navy aviator shades, sperry's top-sider boat shoes. I wore this out for a few errands with the fiance. My car battery needed replacing, I have worn that thing out. Ex. leaving it on while taking naps during lunch. Don't do this ladies. Ha! This look is so comfy and definitely a repeat when I'm running around town.

outfit of the day: fall favorites

These outfit posts were from last years' blog posts. You maybe wondering why? I have been consuming soup and cough drops for the past 5 days-I have been sick with a cold. Instead I have a flashback of my look from fall last year. I'm looking forward to showing you all new looks and innovating new with old pieces from my closet. ļ»æ

I choose coral and neutral colors during the summer and when the fall/winter come I change to pinks and rose colors. My skin is a medium tone and rose/pink colors look best. If you are a lighter skin tone (like Emma Stone or Rachel McAdams) I would go with apricot to coral pink colors for a natural look. Hope you have a magnificent week! ļ»æ
