Warning: Extreme Happiness is Hazardous to Your Health

By: Souwan

How do you define happiness? Is it by how much money you have in the bank? How many ‘toys’ you have at your discretion? The number of parties/events you attend or get invited to? Merriam-Webster defines happiness as “a state of well-being and contentment.

Dr. Ed Diener of the Academe of the Academe of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign researched happiness for two decades stated that "the most pleased people may not live as long as moderately pleased individuals.  Some of his findings can be found at http://www.egodevelopment.com/.

My friends and family are what makes me happy; everything else is just a catalyst. Lets take a moment and reflect while we drink one my favorite drinks "Long Island Ice Tea."

Long Island Ice Tea

Ingredients:

1 part vodka
1 part 1800® Tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part triple sec
1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix
1 splash Coca-Cola®

Mix ingredients together over ice in a glass. Pour into a shaker and give one brisk shake. Pour back into the glass and make sure there is a touch of fizz at the top. Garnish with lemon.
