wedding wednesday: projects and emotions

A wedding update! I have been overwhelmed with wedding projects and planning. December was our 6 month mark til the big day. We are excited and anxious for it. I sent out save the dates to our closest family and friends (invites will go out to everyone soon). I'm getting great responses from my soon to be family and family. The save the dates were one of the many projects I had to complete. I'll be honest this past month it has been tense and full of emotions. Plenty of happy and stressed moments.

Our 6th month mark we have completed many of our "to dos":

Bridesmaids Dresses. Have been picked! I'm very happy this was one of the easiest. Hopefully all the girls look good and feel good!

Our engagement photos were fun and funny. Souwan and I are not photogenic. We feel pretty awkward cuddling and kissing for the camera. I think we got some great laughs.

We reserved our baker for our wedding cake,  Karen Pharr of Karen's Cakes and Cafe Pharr. That was so fun! I'd like to do that again just so I can eat all the various cakes! I took Souwan and Serena with me, we enjoyed it so much. The baker was very sweet and kind. She explained everything about the process, from sizes to icing choices!

Souwan and I just finished the details about rehearsal dinner. It took us a while on this. Our big question, Where to have it. Now that it's done, i'm relieved.

My mom and I talked food. There are some differances we need to work out, but no problems. A mix of thai/lao cuisine and american can clash.

Our invitations are still in progress. We know what it will look like. Right now, wording and font are rugged. I cannot wait to see the final preview of the invites!

Souwan and I are meeting with a Pastor very soon to talk wedding ceremony details. I'm so happy! I've been stressing over this. What is a wedding without someone to marry you?!

My brother is working on our wedding announcement for the local paper. I thought it was very sweet for him to do this for us.

I have not hashed out all of the floral decor for our ceremony. I feel like a late bloomer on this, however I have ideas!

The guys are making plans to get their tuxes at the end of the month. Awe, they will look so handsome in them! I'm anxious to see!

Since our guest list is approx 300 we need to rent more chairs for our venue. I haven't got around to it though.

With all of the above said, here are sneak peeks of two projects in progress!
My two bridesmaids spent an afternoon writing addresses, stamping envelopes, and sealing save the dates. They worked on glittering block "L" and "S" for us too.It turned out pretty!

Our invitations are a work in progress. We created what possibly will be at the top of our invitation. Not final.

outfit of the day: casual denim shorts and sperry's

what i wore: cynthia rowley tee, american eagle shorts, thrifted belt, juicy couture bracelet, belk's charm bracelet, old navy aviator shades, sperry's top-sider boat shoes. I wore this out for a few errands with the fiance. My car battery needed replacing, I have worn that thing out. Ex. leaving it on while taking naps during lunch. Don't do this ladies. Ha! This look is so comfy and definitely a repeat when I'm running around town.

outfit of the day: classic vest

what i wore: express button up, old navy vest, f21 jeans, gift boots.   Classic pieces stay for a lifetime. I have had this vest for a long time. Traditional yet in style. Not popular, but likable. A little bit of old fashion and tradition may not be popular, may go back "50 years" but this vest seems to never fade out of style for me.

outfit of the day: outdoor fall look

what i wore: gap long sleeve top, target jeggings and boots, belk's bag   I wore this to my cousin's birthday party. It was a lovely fall day, sunny and perfect cool weather for a game of corn hole. We also had lunch and drinks out on their patio. This outfit was great for the outdoor activities and a birthday gathering.     Thank you for reading. Have a lovely rest of the week!
