kill the bill

A co-worker brought to my attention about SOPA. For those of you who are not aware of this bill- It is a bill that congress is trying to pass (including PIPA) that requires internet censorship. Reddit, Wikipedia, Wordpress and Google (possibly Facebook-announcement tomorrow) will be protesting tomorrow by blacking out there website and/or showing support in some other way. Instead of shutting my blog down- I thought to show support by bringing this issue to light for others.

Sorry students, you will have to write your own papers/projects by using the LIBRARY! Ok that was a joke for all of you who might attack me on this. Although, I do not support piracy, this bill is much more than that. Much More!

To summarize:

This would give the  government the authority to block access/shut down any site or link that posts copyright material. The bill also requires search engines such as Google and others to enforce this. However, I am learning this bill would not only block access for foreign websites, but American websites as well. Will you let this be the end of websites such as Youtube? Support/Strike and spread the word. Let's kill this bill! Join tomorrow Jan. 18th for an entire day. On twitter tweet #SOPASTRIKE.On Facebook share this link.

To read/learn more you can go read here. Or here Sopa Strike. Let congress hear you here.

outfit of the day: bold blues

what i wore: express (gift) blouse, thrifted skirt, payless heels, belk's pearl necklace and earrings   This look makes me feel lady like and business savy. I wore this look to the office. Who says your work wardrobe has to be dull? This outfit is office appropriate, but fun with the bold blue skirt. Get away from those gray and black colors. At the corporate office there are rules to your attire: the length of your skirt needs to be at your knee, no sandals, no tank tops or strapless, no leggings, no jeans/jeggings, no house shoes/tennis shoes/stilettos. With many more to list, I won't take up your day. You have got the idea i'm sure. =)   I just wanted to share this with any ladies who adore Lilly Pulitzer, they are having a sale and most items are 80% off! Great deal! www.lillypulitzer.com
