what i wore: valentine's day

Folks, it is Valentine's day! I wore this before snowmagedon 2014. Here are two date looks for the day of love. what I wore: outfit #1 - purple express wrap dress//grey kmart flats//jewelry were gifts outfit #2- red old navy heart print dress//red payless wedges//red h&m blazer Don't forget to check out other red, pink white looks over on http://www.stylininstlouis.com/ In the Kiengkham household we are keeping it simple. A dinner and wine night are in the plans. And since we are working (and being snowed in) he has given me an early gift! He surprised me! My husband ventured out to the flower store (in the snow) just to make sure I would get this lovely bouquet of flowers he helped arrange. Kids, don't try that at home. Ah, pure crazy, silly, true love!

what i wore: snowmagedon style

Snowmagedon has arrived here on the east coast! It is all we can talk about here! I went into the office yesterday, but our office closed at 11am. I know, why?! I was trying to spare my vacation days. Grown up problems! The snow storm caused a lot of traffic issues. Some were stuck on the roads for a couple of hours. My brother and cousin had to stay in hotels next to their offices. Snow days are fun for the kids, but it does cause headaches for those who are working. My husband has been working from home. And, maybe having a little fun with our snow fight. And we enjoyed snow cream and hot cocoa's too! We made an Asian rice soup to keep the chill away, so delicious! I was not able to go into work today at all. The second day of snow made the conditions worst. It's layers of snow, ice, snow, ice and snow. I have been able to keep in touch with my colleagues and find they were stuck at home too. And, it continues to snow here! We have 10...

Kiengkham's Korner: stand by me

This weekend my husband and I visited with our college friends. We had an Asian themed potluck and spent the day at two local vineyards. The two vineyards were: Old Stone and Uwharrie. It's been 10 years of friendship. The most memorable time of my life. The best friends a girl would ever have! Some incredible moments happened with these people. God blessed me with them for my difficult and happy moments. They have seen Souwan and I from the beginning. The best friends who tolerated my tipsy antics. The interrupted dorm nights running amuck. The days we spent at school competitions. The nights studying endlessly. Ahem, "studying" nights that may have turned to nights on Myspace and AOL. If you were my professor, (and reading this) then we absolutely were not on Myspace! The nights celebrating and laughing perpetually. They are the friend's who know me, but still love me after 10 years. After 10 years on...

My friends from college are visiting! I cannot wait to see them. It's always a great time hanging with them. After you graduate college, it can be difficult to come together with everyone's busy schedule. I will definitely have some memorable photos to post soon from our weekend together. Anyways, enough with my excitement and babble over weekend plans. Valentine's day is approaching and today's favorites are inspired by V-Day. Check them out below! wore to work: polka dot thoughts

What I Wore to work: black marshall's dress, black rue 21 polka dot cardigan, yellow statement necklace was a gift, black rack room ankle boots     Today the Winter Olympics is trending around the world and if you live under a rock the winter Olympics starts today! This girl is excited (pointing my finger at myself)! My favorite sport (since I was 9) is figure skating. There are some fashionable dresses, beautiful figure skating and amazing talents. It takes real athletes to pull off those jumps and spins! The spins are quite beautiful. Look for the Layback spin with catch-foot and Biellmann spin! (pictured below) There are some challenging  lutzes and axel jumps in the programs too and quite the crowd pleaser. I look back and remember jumping around my room and practicing the spin positions. Sort of difficult on carpet! I would stay past my bedtime to watch the programs and sometimes go to school cranky. Especia...
