Makeup Monday: Revlon lip butters

A reader asked me to do some reviews on make up products.  I'm happy to!  Anything you guys  want to see/read, let me know.  I will try my best!

One of my recent purchases was the Revlon color burst lip butters.  I purchased two colors, peach parfait and berry smoothie.  The lip butters come in a variety of colors, 20 different colors approximately.  I love the variety of colors this product comes in!

The formula moisturise the lips and hydrates them.  They glide on the lips smoothly- just like butter.  The color is somewhat sheer to medium.  I think more medium is accurate.  I would not put his in the same category as a lip balm or chap stick.  These do not have any wax like substance, which is usually in lip balms and/or chap sticks to seal in moisture.  I could be wrong on this, but they do not feel the same to me.  I do choose wearing the lip butters over my EOS lip balm and blistex chap stick on a daily basis.  This may because the lip butters have all the fun colors.

The lip butters cost me around $7 or more from my local Target.  They can also be purchased at CVS or Walgreens.  I was so disappointed for CVS, my choice for beauty shopping.

The package:  The holder/container is a normal lipstick container.  The lid is colored to match the color of the lip butter.  It is a standard lipstick container for this lip butter.  I have had no issues.

The peach parfait is a peachy, sheer color.  It is not as nude of a color as I thought.  I would describe the color as a very pink/peach color.  This is a very pretty color on the lips.  It glides on so smoothly and makes your lips feel softer.

The berry smoothie is a dark pink. It is not as sheer, but medium color.  Still a great product!  I love the pop of pink this brings to my lips for the everyday neutral look.

These makes my lips feel smooth for hours.  For best application apply on clean lips.  Overall, I love these lip butters.  They have a wide variety of fun colors!  They are my GO-TO lip product for an everyday hydration and moisturizer.  I would recommend this and will even buy more colors later.

xoxo Lisa

outfit of the day: casual denim shorts and sperry's

what i wore: cynthia rowley tee, american eagle shorts, thrifted belt, juicy couture bracelet, belk's charm bracelet, old navy aviator shades, sperry's top-sider boat shoes. I wore this out for a few errands with the fiance. My car battery needed replacing, I have worn that thing out. Ex. leaving it on while taking naps during lunch. Don't do this ladies. Ha! This look is so comfy and definitely a repeat when I'm running around town.

outfit of the day: classic vest

what i wore: express button up, old navy vest, f21 jeans, gift boots.   Classic pieces stay for a lifetime. I have had this vest for a long time. Traditional yet in style. Not popular, but likable. A little bit of old fashion and tradition may not be popular, may go back "50 years" but this vest seems to never fade out of style for me.

outfit of the day: outdoor fall look

what i wore: gap long sleeve top, target jeggings and boots, belk's bag   I wore this to my cousin's birthday party. It was a lovely fall day, sunny and perfect cool weather for a game of corn hole. We also had lunch and drinks out on their patio. This outfit was great for the outdoor activities and a birthday gathering.     Thank you for reading. Have a lovely rest of the week!
