pho real: a vietnamese restaurant

{excuse my half smile-im sooo full!}

On Wednesday after work Souwan and I stopped by Pho Real in Charlotte, NC. If you are familiar with the area, they are located in the university area. Pho Real serves Vietnamese dishes, the most known dish is pho. Souwan and I had a bowl of pho. Pho is a hot noodle {made from rice} soup served with beef or chicken. What is interesting about Pho Real is you can create your very own bowl. There is a variety of garnishes for the soup. You can add basil, lime juice, bean sprout, tripe, meatball, shrimp, octopus, jalopeno and more. In my bowl of pho I had beef, tripe, meatball combo. For flavor I added lime, sirachi, bean sprout, hoison sauce and jalopenos. At home, I like to add chili sauce, vinegar and cilantro with all of the above. My soup is always hot and sour. If you like your soup sweet and hot just add more hoison with sirachi and a pinch of sugar. Most pho restaurants I have tried {Saigon Palace, Saigon Square, Ben Than, & Daravan} have various types of pho already created on the menu. The idea of making it to your taste is unique and appealing.

Pho Real's service was very good. I was uncertain after reading others review on their service. I always say it's better to try it your self! Their atmosphere was contemporary modern. The prices are higher than the competitors' but the location makes this one worth paying for. Pho Real restaurant is near UNC Charlotte, IKEA, Asia Corner Mall, and Concord Mills Mall. A high traffic area in Charlotte.

Go try it! See what ya think. Don't knock it until you try it.

TGIF!

outfit of the day: casual denim shorts and sperry's

what i wore: cynthia rowley tee, american eagle shorts, thrifted belt, juicy couture bracelet, belk's charm bracelet, old navy aviator shades, sperry's top-sider boat shoes. I wore this out for a few errands with the fiance. My car battery needed replacing, I have worn that thing out. Ex. leaving it on while taking naps during lunch. Don't do this ladies. Ha! This look is so comfy and definitely a repeat when I'm running around town.

outfit of the day: classic vest

  what i wore: express button up, old navy vest, f21 jeans, gift boots.   Classic pieces stay for a lifetime. I have had this vest for a long time. Traditional yet in style. Not popular, but likable. A little bit of old fashion and tradition may not be popular, may go back "50 years" but this vest seems to never fade out of style for me.

outfit of the day: outdoor fall look

    what i wore: gap long sleeve top, target jeggings and boots, belk's bag   I wore this to my cousin's birthday party. It was a lovely fall day, sunny and perfect cool weather for a game of corn hole. We also had lunch and drinks out on their patio. This outfit was great for the outdoor activities and a birthday gathering.     Thank you for reading. Have a lovely rest of the week!
