kiengkham's korner: world market

(iPhone photo)   This past week we shopped! My husband and I went shopping at the mall and then stopped by the World Market. I had never been in one. I have items from my brother and have been eager to try it out. The World Market is exactly how it sounds. A market of all worldly products from furniture to food. My husband and I finished our wine rack space with wine from Italy, New Zealand, and South Africa. We continued our shopping at Lowe's.   We are getting into Spring here in the Kiengkham home and bought flowers for our yard/garden. Our flower bulbs and hydrangea plants are from Lowe's. We are waiting to get our veggie plants later in March. Souwan is hoping for a willow tree too. He has always wanted one. I love flowers and hope to plant a beautiful garden of veggies and flowers in the Spring!   On another note, my flowers from Valentine's day are slowly wilting. The daisy and lily are still in bloom. One lily is a new bloom. It is so b...

In tune with nature

My cousin and I spent the afternoon at the park. She let me capture a few photos of her for practice. I am looking forward to my family photo session soon. My cousin was very sweet to let me use her as my practice model. Isn't she cute?! The weather was perfect for an unplanned photo session!

what i wore: pastel belle

I am ready for the Spring! Pastel pink and this yellow coat screams spring to me. Pastels are the colors of Spring time. These colors bring sweet thoughts of bright sunny days and the Spring flowers blooming. This pastel pink sweater puts cherry blossom trees in DC on my mind. It is a beautiful sight during the Spring. I am awaiting the blooms, warmer weather, Easter and all the wonderful things coming in Spring!   what I wore: yellow Le Suit coat//pastel pink American eagle sweater// blue target jegging and brown riding boots//yellow bauble necklace was a gift//black Louis Vuitton bag    The cherry blossoms in DC circa 2012

what i wore: snowchi 2014

The snow is melting and we are still having fun in the snow! In fact, I thought to show off my figure skating moves on the snow. (GO USA!) I was hoping to get on the Olympic team for Sochi 2014 games. Watch out Gracie Gold! I am kidding around. Maybe, I should have found a real ice rink and practiced more? I am only joking. I'll leave the skating to the champs White and Davis! My husband and I spent our snow days watching the Olympics. It inspired me to jump around the snow and be silly. My husband and I got a real kick out of it! I never intended to show you guys my special moves, but I'm comfortable laughing at myself. Further more, we are sad to see the snow melt. We had a fun time while it lasted. what I wore: white JC Penny's sweater// blue Maurice's jeans///pink the shoe dept snow boots

kiengkham's korner: snowed in!

1- Our town got 13 inches of snow and a snow day to play. My husband and I built a snowman and woman, drank hot coco and watched our neighbors revel in the snow. Souwan had snow cream for the first time too. The snow days are over for us, but we loved playing in it. 2- My husband and I had a lovely Valentine's day. To us it's about celebrating everything about love rather than just the two of us. I gave Valentine gifts to my friends and family along with messages to remind them I love them. Even with the snow my husband brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers! I cooked him a special candle light dinner for Valentine's day. Lastly, Valentine's day was filled with snow and love this year. 3- After watching the Olympics, my husband and I went Ice skating on Saturday. It has been some time since we skated. There were moments where I almost took my husband down! Thankfully, we had some team work on the ice. Ice skating was fun and we will have to go again next year...
